Who We Are
Rabbi Sherwood Weil
Sherwood graduated and was ordained ‘Rabbi’ at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, Cincinnati, Ohio, 1972. After serving congregations in Cape Town, South Africa, Johannesburg, South Africa, Utica, New York, Huntsville, Alabama and Biloxi, Mississippi, he left the active ministry in 1992 to pursue other interests. He is particularly interested in the wonder of scientific discovery and its impact upon humanity’s fundamental knowledge of the universe and spirituality.
Daniel Weil: Posting as “proplife”
Oldest son to Sherwood Weil, Daniel serves as the Webmaster, Marketing Consultant, and Editor for the Temple Without Walls websites and blog. A graphic designer and web developer, Dan has been working as a graphic designer since 1986 in advertising, Direct Mail, and corporate identity. He has been working as a web designer since 1995 for Fortune 500 companies and for small businesses across the United States. As an adult, Dan has become increasingly interested in what it really means to be “Jewish” in modern times, beyond what traditionally organized religious institutions are able to provide.
